“We Found Wonderland” is a mixed-media art exhibition that reimagines the lyrics of Taylor Swift through the lens of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
Explore a madcap mix of fiber art and flowers, glass and glitter, drawings and paintings.
(Best believe you can come bejeweled.)

… In developing this show, I wanted to interrogate Swift’s poetry with the same seriousness I brought to my thesis on Whitman’s Leaves of Grass. However, since Swift works in an era saturated with imagery—since she is so very strategic about the aesthetics of her albums, and yet so unable to control how the media will portray her in the world beyond—it felt only right to do so not just through the written word but through a wide array of visual mediums. …

The girl in the dress wrote us some songs…
Took a wrong turn and we fell down a rabbit hole
Didn’t you calm my fears with a Cheshire Cat smile?
But there were strangers watching, and whispers turned to talking…
It’s all fun and games ‘til somebody loses their mind
Through the looking-glass…
You wonder if you’ll make it out alive
I just learned these people only raise you to cage you
Give me back my girlhood, it was mine first
I was tame, I was gentle, till the circus life made me mean
What if I told you I’m a mastermind?
The lights refract sequin stars off her silhouette every night (I can show you lies)
You look like Taylor Swift in this light
Will you still want me when I’m nothing new?
